Fall Exhibitions at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is delighted to announce its Fall 2020 exhibitions. ? "Idyllic Times: Selections from the Gary T. Leach Collection of American Art" will be featured in the Main Gallery. The exhibition showcases American art from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, evoking emotions such as the innocence of childhood, the awe of nature, and the humor of everyday life. "Idyllic Times" features 30 pieces from Houston collector Gary T. Leach, which call to mind the simple moments that make life beautiful. "Vistas and Voyages: The Photography of Don Pine" will be featured in the Rebecca Cole Gallery. Landscape and nature photographer Don Pine is a native Texan who has been involved in photography all his life. His travels have taken him to all seven continents and 74 countries. "Vistas and Voyages" showcases Don’s ability to create portraits that capture the personality of animals and people, as well as grand landscapes that cause us to marvel at the magnificence of God’s creation. "Along for the Journey" will be featured in the Hillery Community Gallery through November 11, with works by Cheryl Pilgrim. Pilgrim is a children’s book writer, illustrator and former art teacher who resides in The Woodlands. "Along for the Journey" features illustrations created for the middle grade novel, "The Littlest Voyageur" (2020). All three exhibitions open Saturday, September 19, 2020. "Idyllic Times" and "Vistas and Voyages" continue through January 9, 2021, while "Along for the Journey" runs through November 11, 2020. Located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free.
