Apr 1 Community: Houston Family Arts Center Presents: "The Foreigner"
The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by "Froggy" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time "Froggy" has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So "Froggy," before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should with the thought that Charlie doesn't understand a word being said. That he does fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play and sets up the wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the "bad guys," and the "good guys" emerge triumphant.

Please join us Thursday morning, April 21,  at 8:30 am as we  hear from the FBI on Cyber Security in your business or home!

Chamber of Commerce membership IS NOT required for attendance.  Invite your friends!!!

Representatives from Sheriff's, Constables, Houston Police and our ISD police will be there to also give an update on public safety issues in our community.  This is your best opportunity to ask them the questions that you want answered.

Please try to arrive between 8 and 8:15.  That gives you the best opportunity to network and helps us to start on time.  Also, if last month is any indication, it also gets you a good seat!

Come to the Houston NW Chamber of Commerce Public Safety Forum and you will learn about Public Safety from many different agencies that affect your lives.

Apr 22 Community: Houston Family Arts Center Presents: "Damn Yankees"
Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd trades his soul to the Devil, also known as Mr. Applegate, for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life he's left behind. Joe ultimately outsmarts Applegate, returns to his former self, and shepherds the Senators to the World Series. Apr 23 - Apr 24 Community: Texas Master Chorale Spring Concert: Requiem
The Texas Master Chorale 30th anniversary concert season will close with a performance of Requiem by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins at The Centrum in Spring TX on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 7:30 pm. First recorded and performed in 2005, this innovative work includes Western and Eastern influences. Jenkins successfully blends traditional Latin text with Japanese haiku to produce a dynamic composition with beautiful results. The interjected haiku poems reflect the Japanese view of nature's water cycles as being synonymous with life. To enhance the effect, instrumentation includes the ancient shakuhachi flute.
