CreekFest 2015 Planning Committee

Membership Meet & Greets are held every first Wednesday of the month from 5-7 p.m. Join us to meet Chamber members, shake some hands, talk about your business and learn how the Chamber might support your business from those in the community who know first-hand about the benefits - other Chamber members.

Everyone is invited to this no-program event held each month at different locations across our Chamber membership. This is no charge to attend - we are at the courtesy of our host each month.

Business Retention and Expansion committee meets on the 1^st Thursday of each month.

Frost invites the community to ?keep it cool? this summer with complimentary sweet treats at participating Financial Centers. Beginning in June and running through the heat of August, Frost will host a series of local food trucks where guests can enjoy a bevvy of frozen creations. The lineup will include a visit from Smoosh who will serve their one-of-a-kind ice cream cookie sandwiches. What better way to eat ice cream than in-between two cookies? Berry Ices will offer guests a non-dairy option while Kona Ice offers a create-your-own snow cone experience with a rainbow of flavors to choose from. And last but not least, Houston?s only gourmet ice cream truck, SweetRide! is sure to please anyone?s palette with homemade ice cream, and snow cones. In this exciting, hands-on adventure, kids will learn about energy, how to harness it from the sun to power things like robots and cars, and how electronics help our day-to-day lives. The Ambassadors promote goodwill to Chamber members, provide a direct personal contact for Chamber members and for the community, and support Chamber member retention efforts. Ambassadors are “the face of the Chamber” and as such are asked to support and participate in various Chamber activities. Areas of primary responsibility include: ribbon cutting ceremonies, luncheons, routine member visits and phone calls, and hosting at other Chamber events.
 

Protection and safety expert and founder of American Trigger Sports Network, James B. Towle, will present his inaugural Gun Tasting at Boyert Shooting Center in Houston on Tuesday, July 7 and Sunday, July 12. Here, three special ?gun tasting? packages will be offered. Packages can be purchased at https://www.boyert.com/gun-tasting-event/. At the event James Towle, host and executive producer of ATSN television show Stop The Threat, will be giving a special live presentation of his show and each participant will get hands on, real world training for protecting yourself and trying out a variety of firearms. Finger foods and refreshments will be available for attendees. Each attendee will also be entered into a drawing for special door prizes sponsored by Stop The Threat. Texas Connections Academy (TCA), a virtual public school for students in 3rd through 12th grades, is offering parents the opportunity to learn more about this highly accountable, high-quality virtual public school during local information sessions. These information sessions also allow interested families to meet with Texas Connections Academy teachers. During the session, participants will discuss the family?s role in the education process through topics such as organizing the home for the most effective schooling environment and balancing time when more than one child is enrolled in the program. Participants also will learn how TCA?s community coordinators arrange field trips and extracurricular activities for students and parents across the state as a means of education, fun and networking with others enrolled in the school.  The school provides all curriculum materials ? several large boxes of textbooks per child, workbooks and hands-on materials ? that make up the core of TCA?s print-rich curriculum. Each TCA student is also assigned a professional teacher to oversee learning and assess student progress.
