Membership Meet & Greets are held every first Wednesday of the month from 5-7 p.m. Join us to meet Chamber members, shake some hands, talk about your business and learn how the Chamber might support your business from those in the community who know first-hand about the benefits - other Chamber members.

Everyone is invited to this no-program event held each month at different locations across our Chamber membership. This is no charge to attend - we are at the courtesy of our host each month.

Provides fundamentals in manual tank gauging, principles of operation of the primary dynamic meters, and a base knowledge on meter proving, factor calculation, and meter/tank ticket calculations. Uses the API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards and the ASTM Test Methods as the basis for instruction. Recommended for personnel with a basic knowledge of the oil and gas business, especially pipeline, refining and production operations. Measurement operators, technicians, and engineers seeking a firm foundation or those new (6 months or less) to liquid volume measurement or who witness or audit measurement techniques.

The Ambassadors promote goodwill to Chamber members, provide a direct personal contact for Chamber members and for the community, and support Chamber member retention efforts. Ambassadors are “the face of the Chamber” and as such are asked to support and participate in various Chamber activities. Areas of primary responsibility include: ribbon cutting ceremonies, luncheons, routine member visits and phone calls, and hosting at other Chamber events.

Builds on Fundamentals of Petroleum Measurement along with 1 to 3 years of field experience in measurement. Introduces some basic trouble-shooting techniques on both static tank measurement and dynamic measurement of quality and quantity of petroleum including refined products. Provides more information on the design and operation of various meter, prover, and automatic sampling system designs and the use of flow computers. Uses API MPMS and the ASATM Test Methods as basis for instruction. Recommended for personnel with 1 to 3 years of experience in the oil and gas business, especially pipeline, refining and production operations. Measurement operators, technicians, and engineers who actively participate in liquid volume measurement operations and need to expand or enhance their operating knowledge of measurement performance; and those who witness or audit measurement techniques.

Government Affairs-Transportation Forum is our Chamber's means to educate ourselves of key issues and recommend action to the Chamber's Public Policy Council and/or Board.
April 2015 Program brings us Judy Rimato, Asst. Superintendent at Klein ISD covering the May Klein ISD Bond Referendum.

St. Anne Catholic School is hosting a Spring Open House. All families exploring educational opportunities for their children are invited to visit the school on April 15. A special program will be held for students entering a PreK 4 year old program or Kindergarten in the fall of 2015 from 10am to noon, and tours will be conducted for all grade levels from 1-6pm.

Please join us Thursday morning, April 16,  at 8:30 am as we again hear State District Judge Denise Collins speak to us about what really goes on in our courts.  Chamber of Commerce membership is not required for attendance.  Invite your friends!!!

 It's been a couple of years since Judge Collins has visited with us.  What is going on in the courts?   How do Austin's laws affect the courts?  How do we learn who to vote for in the Elections?  What makes a good judge? You will get examples of some of the trials that you read about.  You will hear from a tough judge who has been serving our community since 1992.  Bring your questions.  What doesn't make sense to you?  What needs to be fixed?

Representatives from Sheriff's, Constables, Houston Police and our ISD police will be there to also give an update on public safety issues in our community.  This is your best opportunity to ask them the questions that you want answered.

This is an opportunity for you to meet with your Chamber President, Barbara Thomason, and learn how to jump-start your membership. Membership benefits are discussed over breakfast.

Shoot Out Hunger 2015 will be held on April 17th at Able's Gun Club in Huntsville. This is our annual 100-bird sporting clay tournament. Shooters will enjoy this premier shooting range! Registration also includes breakfast, ammo, golf cart, and lunch. We will have great prizes and awards to give away after the shoot. Addresses needs for advanced EFMs and ATG systems. Uses API MPMS and the ASTM Test Methods. Recommended for personnel with 2 to 5 years of experience in pipeline, refining, and production measurement operations. Provides training for those participating in prover and sampling systems calibrations and certifications. Recommended for those seeking to enhance knowledge of measurement performance and audit techniques.

The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra performs on Sunday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Junior High School, 3800 S. Panther Creek Drive, in the Nancy Bock Center for the Performing Arts. The full 60-piece orchestra conducted by Lawrence Wheeler will present Mahler?s Symphony No. 1. Event includes a presentation celebrating the community and those who shaped it.
