Small Business Forum - 09/16/2014
The Small Business Forum is Sponsored by Sunbelt Business Brokers.
Join us as we explore an important topic that is impacting your employees and your workplace. The Workplace Bullying Institute defines "Workplace Bullying" as repeated, health-harming mistreatment of one or more persons (the targets) by one or more perpetrators that takes one or more of the following forms – verbal abuse, offensive conduct/behaviors which are threatening, humiliating, or intimidating or work interference which prevents work from getting done.
Workplace Bullying is serious abusive conduct that destroys workers' health and productivity and undermines your organization's success. Leaders must commit to stop workplace bullying and realize it's not a "personality clash," or conflict. It is non-physical workplace violence and not only is it detrimental to the individual who are bullied, but the business as a whole.
Reserve your space today — seating is limited to the first 30 people and once we’re sold out we are sold out!

Lawrence first met Mitch at an international conference where he knocked the socks off the audience with his unique and truly “game-changing” perspective. Forget about “out of the box thinking,” as Mitch proposes throwing the entire box away, and you’ll be amazed at what can happen when you do!
Mitch has helped hundreds of thousands through over 3,500 live seminars, workshops, lectures, keynotes, webinars, and clinics on business, sales, marketing, life skills, and playing what he calls the “NEW GAME.”

Community: 6th Annual Harvest to Holidays Gift Market and Silent Auction
Close your eyes? Cover your ears? Now just imagine trying to understand the world like that. Precious 11-year-old Lauren Daley is facing this very challenge. Growing up in Kingwood, Texas, she is both deaf and blind (deafblind). She needs critical help learning how to communicate with and accessing the environment around her. There is a solution for her: the reality that we all take for granted must be explained to her through an Intervener's hands. An ?Intervener? is a highly trained, skilled specialist who serves as the vital bridge to the world for deafblind persons. But Interveners can also be quite an overwhelming additional financial burden: Lauren's Intervener costs her family $1000 a week ? an enormous expense for any ordinary family. This cost can only be sustained by fundraisers and donations. The greatly anticipated 6th Annual Harvest to Holidays Gift Market and Silent Auction will be held at Kingwood Church of Christ located at 2901 Woodland Hills Drive starting at 4:30pm and closing at 8:30pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014. At this year?s Harvest to Holidays event, you will find boutique quality pieces, hand-crafted gifts, edible creations, and many other items from local artisans and independent representatives from your favorite brands in the Gift Market and Silent Auction. In addition to finding the perfect holiday gift, shoppers will also have the chance to win giveaways and enter raffles. Proceeds from Harvest to Holidays Gift Market and Silent Auction will benefit the unique educational needs of Lauren. Lauren's hard work and joyous spirit have brought her and her family nationwide notoriety for educational advancements in the deafblind community. When you help Lauren, her personal successes extend throughout the deafblind community. If you are interested in being a vendor at Harvest to Holidays, if you want to make a direct donation, or if you want to learn more about Lauren, please visit www.helplaurenlearn.com. Some of the participating vendors included: ?Kelly's Closet ?Perfectly Posh ?Gold Canyon ?Premiere Designs Jewelry ?Journey 2 Life in Africa ?Plum Bling Boutique ?Stella & Dot Jewelry ?Jarabels ?Ava and Lili ?The Little Illustrator ?Rodan + Fields
