Kinsmen Lutheran Church invites local high school students and their parents to a free workshop on Wednesday, September 19: “Surviving the College Search.” Presented by Virginia L. Blackwell, an independent educational consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the field of college admissions, this seminar will help families prepare for upcoming college fairs, standardized testing and the college application process, as well as give tips on formulating a list of colleges to explore. The workshop is open to the community and will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, 12100 Champion Forest Drive in Houston, 77066. Admission is free, but registration is requested at www.kinsmenlutheran.org.
