Lemonade Day Kids Pitch Event

Mentors will coach 10 teams of kids as they pitch their own lemonade stand business concept to panel of judges in Shark Tank format Continuing its mission to empower today?s youth to become tomorrow?s entrepreneurs, Lemonade Day Houston will host the Lemonade Day Kids Pitch Event on Sept 24. Sponsored by Raising Cane?s Chicken Fingers, this event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Cannon, 1336 Brittmoore Road in Houston. Ten teams of kids will receive coaching in advance from experienced mentors who help them create a plan for their very own small business ? a lemonade stand. Each team will pitch its business concept to a panel of four judges. The top three teams will earn prizes in the form of seed money to enable them to bring their business ideas to life. Confirmed judges to date include Lemonade Day founder and serial entrepreneur Michael Holthouse and John Donovan, Principal, Donovan Ventures. ?The Lemonade Day Houston Kids Pitch Event gives Houston area young people the opportunity to receive positive attention and valuable feedback from experienced adult mentors,? said Gaye Jackson, City Director for Lemonade Day Houston. ?This is an amazing opportunity for kids on our teams to go through the entrepreneurial startup process in a fun Shark Tank-style pitch competition while developing their planning, team-building, and communication skills.?
