August 7 is the exact mid-point between the first day of summer on June 21, and the last day on September 23. To celebrate making it halfway through the summer, Chevy is inviting Houston residents to beat the heat and cool down with a frozen ice cream treat!
The month of August has also been recognized as the hottest month of the year in Houston, according to data from NOAA. Knowing that Texas unfortunately leads the nation in child hot car deaths, with several this summer in Houston alone, Chevy safety experts will also be on hand to share driving safety tips for families during the hot weather, and demonstrate some of the newest in-vehicle safety tech.
