Community: Midweek Advent Worship: Be Present

Kinsmen Lutheran Church invites the community to midweek worship services during Advent. With a theme of "Be Present," the services will take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., and include music as well as a meditation to prepare your heart to celebrate the birth of Christ. As a special treat, the December 13 service will be led by children throughout the ministries of Kinsmen. The final Advent service on December 20 will be a "Longest Night" worship service, for those who are grieving or otherwise do not feel joy this season. "This has been a difficult year for many in our community who have lost much, yet there is still so much to celebrate," said the Rev. Dr. Beth Warpmaeker, senior pastor of Kinsmen. "In Jesus, God gave us the greatest gift of all time--and that gift can never be taken away. So join us as we come together to be present with one another, and to celebrate the depths of God's love."
