BRIDGELAND® ‘FRIDAY NIGHT BITES’ EVENT AT LAKELAND VILLAGE CENTER® CELEBRATES SPRING WITH A SPECIAL SCAVENGER HUNT

New Retail Center in Cypress Community Hosts Monthly Food and Entertainment Series April 7 Cypress, TX (March 28, 2017) – Friday Night Bites returns to Bridgeland®, northwest Houston area’s premier master planned community, with local food trucks, a scavenger hunt and live music from School of Rock on April 7th.

Friday Night Bites is normally held on the second Friday of each month. In April, however, it will take place a week early due to Good Friday occurring on April 14. Festivities take place at Lakeland Village Center®, Bridgeland’s first commercial center, and the event is quickly becoming a Cypress tradition. Food trucks vary from month to month and April’s lineup includes: Go Crawdaddy, Carolyn’s Kitchen, Whatcha Cravin, D’Lish, Ripe Cuisine and Cuban Spot. In addition, Skye Café, Refill Station and Greek Squad will be on hand, complete with kids menus. Desserts will be sold by Marble Slab Creamery, The Baker’s Man, Pop Cake and Grab a Cone.

This month’s event is sponsored by Perry Homes. School of Rock – Cypress, an area music school, will perform several times throughout the night. In addition, an all-ages scavenger hunt will award prizes to the top three finishers. Bridgeland’s youngest residents can also participate in a food truck art station. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, with no glass containers permitted.

“Friday Night Bites is an increasingly popular monthly highlight for our residents,” said Heath Melton, Vice President of Master Planned Communities. “This month’s event promises to be the biggest of them all so far.”

Located adjacent to Lakeland Heights®, Lakeland Village Center combines traditional small-town Texas architecture with a contemporary blend of more than 84,000 square feet of mixed-use development, all within walking distance for nearby residents. With a grand opening planned for later this year, Lakeland Village Center is the first of four village centers planned in Bridgeland, offering a variety of dining, retail, professional services, medical offices and employment opportunities. Lakeland Village Center’s new tenants include: Le Macaron, Eye Trends, Best Brains, Bridgeland Fine Wines, Cypress Endodontics, Envoy Mortgage, Pinot’s Palette, Pizza Cucinova and Select Physical Therapy this spring. The new additions complement the center’s seven existing tenants: CVS/pharmacy®, Active Life Dentistry, Bridgeland Council, Marble Slab Creamery, Great Clips, Nails of America and RE/MAX.
