Kinsmen Lutheran Church invites the community to Financial Peace University, beginning January 16. Financial Peace University (FPU) is a money management course taught by one of America?s most trusted financial advisors, Dave Ramsey. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, the course presents biblical, practical steps for budgeting, paying off debt, building savings, charitable giving, planning for the future and much more.
Kinsmen has offered the course for the past two years, but this year will include new components. Two facilitators will address issues related to Hurricane Harvey and flooding. Information will also be available on tax savings as it relates to hurricane recovery.
Financial Peace University is open to the community and will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Classes begin January 16 and continue for nine weeks. The cost is $80 per household. A Spanish version of the course will also be offered, beginning January 16 and continuing for six weeks. The Spanish course meets at the same time and is $40 per household.
