Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Host of ‘The Jeff Corwin Experience’ and ‘Corwin’s Quest’ Headlines Day of Fun Events, Animal Attractions and Family-Friendly Activities in Cypress Community Animal Planet’s Jeff Corwin, known for his television programs “The Jeff Corwin Experience” and “Corwin’s Quest”, will headline Bridgeland’s 10th Annual Nature Fest on April 29.

Corwin, one of the country’s most recognizable wildlife biologists and nature conservationists, will entertain the crowd with his animal experiences several times throughout the day. Nature Fest will be held in the Cypress master planned community’s Oak Meadow Park and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Jeff Corwin is without a doubt one of this country’s foremost nature conservationists,” said Heath Melton, Vice President of Master Planned Communities. “He’s the perfect fit for both Nature Fest and Bridgeland—a community with more than 3,000 acres dedicated to conservation and to providing sanctuary to the many species of wildlife in the greater Houston area.”

The 10th Annual Nature Fest will include a variety of stage shows, the Great American Duck Race, whimsical rides from Austin Bike Zoo, armadillo races, a petting zoo, pony rides, and the Crocodile Encounter. Families can enjoy an interactive performance from Drum Café, nature-oriented exhibits, world-class street performers, face painting, an inflatable zone, arts and crafts, as well as many other family-friendly activities, including a fifth birthday celebration for Bridgeland Bill®, the community’s official mascot.

Nature Fest guests can tame hunger growls with a selection of more than 20 food trucks, as well as a farmers market. While supply lasts, nature lovers will receive a special 10th Anniversary Nature Fest T-shirt to commemorate the special day. Admission to Nature Fest and its stage performances are free of charge, as are many of the day’s activities.

All proceeds will be donated to Cy-Hope, a local organization dedicated to bringing hope and opportunity to every child in the Cy-Fair area. For more information on Nature Fest, visit www.bridgeland.com/naturefest.
