The Association of International Petroleum Negotiators is hosting its inaugural International Petroleum Summit May 9-12, with pre-conference workshops slated for May 9. All events will be held at the Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands. AIPN members, non-members, guests, and media are encouraged to attend. AIPN?s lineup of distinguished keynote speakers includes: ? James A. Baker, III, 61st United States Secretary of State, on ?The Art of Negotiation;? ? Professor Emmanuel Gaillard, Head of International Arbitration, Shearman & Sterling, on ?Investment Arbitration: Lessons from the Yukos Case;? ? Robert Jordan, former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, (topic to be arranged); and, ? Guhan Subramanian, Professor, Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, on ?The Theory and Practice of Dealmaking: Secrets of Successful Dealmakers.? The International Petroleum Summit offers three high-energy days of intense learning, business networking and career enhancement. Highlights of the International Petroleum Summit include daily keynote speakers, updates on the latest global and regional industry developments, recent project case studies, sessions to strengthen negotiation and other commercial skills, fireside interview sessions, and segments to promote career growth and advancement. Conference attendees can earn up to 7.5 Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) hours through the State Bar of Texas. AIPN plans to host this event annually, building upon the foundation it will have established with the inaugural International Petroleum Summit this year. Attendees have the option to register for all or some of the AIPN International Petroleum Summit events. Fees vary for members and non-members and are based on the level of participation an attendee prefers.
